Who We Are.
Northstone Custom Homes is more than a construction company. It is the culmination of two careers, decades of experience, and a brotherhood that has grown for nearly 50 years. While we are stepbrothers by definition, we have simply been brothers for most of our lives.
Our late father, Dale L. Parks, was a respected master carpenter whose pride in craftsmanship, integrity, and doing things the right way left a lasting legacy. His influence shaped the values that define Northstone today: quality, accountability, trust, and respect for the craft.

Joe Parks is a Founder and Partner of Northstone Custom Homes and a master carpenter with more than 40 years of experience building exceptional custom homes and fine architectural woodwork. Throughout his career, he has built numerous luxury custom homes valued well in excess of $1 million, founded and operated a successful remodeling company, crafted custom cabinetry, and led multimillion-dollar framing and finish carpentry projects.
Known throughout the industry for his craftsmanship and attention to detail, Joe has built a reputation as the professional people call when a project is complex, technically demanding, or simply has to be done right the first time. From intricate architectural details and custom millwork to challenging structural framing and high-end interior finishes, his ability to solve difficult construction challenges has earned the trust of homeowners, architects, designers, and fellow builders alike.

Thomas Crouch is a Founder and Partner of Northstone Custom Homes, bringing more than 30 years of construction leadership and operational expertise to every project. Throughout his career, he has successfully led the planning, management, and execution of millions of dollars in residential, commercial, and multifamily construction, earning a reputation for delivering projects with integrity, precision, and accountability.
After spending decades leading large-scale construction operations, Thomas returned to custom home building with a clear vision: combine exceptional craftsmanship with the systems, communication, and professionalism that discerning homeowners deserve. He believes the building process should be as rewarding as the finished home, with transparency, collaboration, and trust guiding every step.

Discovery

Design & Feasibility
Every project begins with a fee-based Design & Feasibility Agreement, tailored to your project's scope. This may include site evaluation, budget development, constructability review, scheduling, and value engineering to establish a strong foundation before construction begins.
Preconstruction
We align design, budget, selections, permits, procurement, trade partners, schedule, and risk items before construction begins. The goal is to solve problems before they become expensive field issues.
Construction
This is where craftsmanship meets execution. Joe leads the craftsmanship and quality standards. Thomas manages the day-to-day communication, schedule, budget, documentation, and client coordination.
Digital Project Management
We use a digital construction platform to document the project throughout construction: schedules, daily progress, photos, selections, documents, change orders, financial tracking, communication history, and warranty information.
